Not sure what a RSS feed is or how to work with them? Not a problem. By using your own search terms you can generate your own feeds from sites such as Google News, YouTube, Twitter, and more. You can also search feeds that have been predefined. As you build your comfort level with RSS feeds, you may start incorporating feeds that you have found into your stream.

  • Job Search Engine: Look for RSS feeds coming from the leading job search sites. Many of them will allow you to view the feed of a saved search. Pull that feed into an outlet and you will constantly be up to date on new job posts for your area and for your profession.
  • Your Friends Photos and Videos: Pull in feeds from your friends' pages on sites such as Picasa, YouTube, etc. You can stay up to date with any new photos or videos they post immediately.
  • Stock Market Information: Finding feeds from your favorite financial sites and pulling them into your outlets will let you stay on top of events happening in the stock market real time.
